Clean Sweep Them All
We have less than 2 weeks to take back our country.
I urge you to put you and your children above party and partisanship.
On November 4, vote out every single member of Congress who voted for the bailout bill.
Forget your party.
They no longer represent you.
You are held hostage to a two-headed monster that will devour you regardless of whom you vote for President, or to whom you pledge allegiance.
It’s time to rise above the narrow partisan interests of the one party system and send a message that We the People are taking back our country.
There is ONLY ONE WAY to do this:
VOTE THE INCUMBANTS OUT.
Every single one of them who saddled you and your children with the bailout bill does not deserve to maintain his or her seat.
This will take an act of courage to vote for someone you fundamentally disagree with.
There is a bigger picture.
It’s time WE, the People made a power grab.
The best way to kill the beast is to cut off its head.
Incumbency is the head of the beast.
The beast knows it can do whatever it wants because the odds are 95% it will be re-elected and maintain its power.
The ultimate solution is to eliminate the majority of both parties.
Clean Sweep is a way to use against them Archimedes brilliant discovery of leverage:
“With a place to stand, I can move the world.”
A vote against every incumbent who approved the bailout bill is our place to stand.
The short-term bitter pill of voting for someone you might detest is worth the long term health of ridding Congress of anyone who does not stand for the People.
Here’s the ideal scenario:
We vote in 10% independents, those who promise to put party loyalty aside to do the people’s business. An independent without party fealty is better than most of the partisans we have now.
We need only 10% of Congress to swing independent, and we eliminate both party’s majority.
We force the two-headed monster to negotiate with the “third party” to get anything done.
If there is a third party candidate available for the House or Senate, vote for him or her.
If not, vote the incumbent out.
With few exceptions who stand for us, nobody is untouchable.
By 2010, we can take back Congress from the R and D cartel and build momentum for true independent representation.
This is our ONLY hope.
We can send a message to them that we the people are taking back our country.
The only legal mechanism short of a 2nd revolution is through the levers of Congress.
It’s time they fear us, rather than holding us hostage to party loyalty.
I watched the freak show on Friday as Congressmen and women preached how much they detested voting for the bailout bill, but voted yes anyway because they had no choice.
One after another, they rationalized that “a bad bill is better than no bill at all.”
By that logic, a bad disease is better than no disease at all.
The EVIL of Two Lessers won the day.
They patted themselves on the back and boasted about how bi-partisanship ruled the day.
One after another they proclaimed, “This is the best of what Congress is about.”
If this is their best, God help us when we get their worst.
The mother’s milk of politics is power, perks and pork.
That they believe we are dumb, fearful and partisan enough to keep them in power and perks after adding $150 billion of useless pork to an already bloated bill is beyond arrogant.
It’s downright cowardly and shameful.
If you care about your children, your grandchildren, and the future of our country more than you care about the fiction of “my party right or wrong” you will vote your incumbent representative out of office.
Some good men and women will take a hit. That’s a smaller price to pay than to keep the majority in power, perks and pork for another 2-6 years.
Let your conscious be your guide. Vote for principled people like Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, Brad Sherman and any others who stand for us.
When they see we are serious that we value life, liberty and legacy more than we value a party label, then we will get the representation we deserve.
With notable exceptions, it’s time to Clean Sweep the entire lot of them and let them know that our vote matters.
They will only respect us if they experience the blow back of their actions. We can whine and moan all we want, write articles, send letters, make calls and comment on blogs, and nothing will change until we transform our loyalty from party to people, from them to us.
The only power they respect is the power we have to take away theirs.
You want your vote to matter?
Cast it for any independent running for Congress or Senate.
If there is no independent, vote the challenger.
You want to make a difference in 2008?
You want to be a “game changer?”
Clean sweep them all.
The world will look a lot brighter on November 5.
At least you will feel, maybe for the first time that We, the People have the power to decide our fate.
Nothing short of your life, liberty and the legacy of our children are at stake.
