You now are an accomplice to the great bank heist of 2008.

You, your children and your grandchildren are now silent partners of a 1/300 millionth share of a trillion dollar portfolio of toxic, depreciated, devalued paper that you wouldn’t give 30¢ on the dollar if someone held a gun to your head.

That’s what your elected officials just legislated. It’s now LAW.

The scoundrels who perpetrated this heist are giving each other high-fives. We just ensured they would not have to give up their yachts, planes and country club memberships.

How does it feel to have another $3,000 of debt for everyone in your household?

You don’t have $3,000 to bail out the banks? Don’t worry, we’ll just charge it to your account. You won’t feel it. It’s just a bookkeeping entry.

Of course, they did it for you.

Imagine if I called you and said, “I just charged $3,000 to your credit card and invested your money to buy a truck load of paper worth about $900. But don’t worry, the people managing this investment are the same experts who lost the other $900. They tell me in a few years they ‘hope’ it might be worth $3,000.”

You don’t mind, do you?

You are old enough and wise enough to know that when you hear the words, “I’m from the government and I’m here to help” you better hide your wallet and lock up your jewels.

All this is happening without your consent, agreement or commitment.

This is a good time to remember Harvey Mackay’s sage advice,

“Beware the naked man who offers you his shirt.”

The naked man is the emperor without any clothes.

If you think the village idiots on Capital Hill have any clue about money, you haven’t been paying attention for the past decade.

They will bleed us dry to save their bacon. Don’t be fooled by the “we’re doing this for Main Street” BS they are spewing. They are scared to death they are going to be found out for who and what they are:

Barbarians crashing the gate!

This is a mass wealth transfer from you to them.
The banks are the foils.

Fear is the stick.

Catastrophe. Meltdown. Crisis, economic Pearl Harbor.
The end of the American dream.

Hope is the carrot.
We “hope” we’ll sell these assets for a profit.
We “hope” you’ll get your money back.
We “hope” this will save our way of life.

We’re doing this for Main Street.
We’re doing this to protect you, the taxpayer.

If you had any shred of doubt that we have taxation without representation, this should dispel it once and for all.

Who else could “appropriate” your money, give it to the same “experts” who squandered it, claim it’s legal and make you think they’re doing you a mitzvah (good deed)?

These charlatans need to go.

It’s should be our collective mission to get these fools fired come November 4.

I don’t care what party they claim.
None of them deserve to retain their seats.

And while this Titanic is crashing the icebergs, the media are playing their special brand of music trying to divert our attention from the ship that is sinking.

They keep us distracted talking about lipstick and pigs and debates, as the real pigs stuff their pork-filled hooves with our money without public discussion or debate.

Mr. hot, flat and crowded himself, Thomas Friedman, self-proclaimed oracle and one of the most vocal Iraq war cheerleaders, preaches that “You have to focus on saving the system, even if it means bailing out people who donÕt deserve it.” Oh, really?

This from the same pseudo smart guy who said we had to invade Iraq because we couldn’t take a chance that the smoking gun could show up as a mushroom cloud. We should just go along with the “experts” and save the system. It couldn’t be because Mr. hot, flat and crowded is using the system to stuff his pockets.

How is it that the people who keep getting it wrong keep convincing us they know the right thing to do?

We believe them, because they scare us into panic.
They treat us like frightened children afraid of the bogeyman. 

The first rule of investing is “do your due diligence.”

What due diligence have they done?

How many Senators read the 451 page bill?
How much pork did they stuff into it?

A spoonful of sugar to make the medicine go down.

The Bush Administration has been at the helm.
Paulson and Bernanke have been navigating the ship.

They have run us aground, and now they proclaim that if we don’t capitulate to their fear mongering, the ship will be capsize and we’ll be left stranded, castaways on the island of fear and loathing. They want us fearing the world will end.

I say, “Let it end.”

Let them go down.
Let them eat cake.

It’s time we Americans get our financial house in order.

Our consumer/credit model has turned us into profligate spenders, with no consideration for how our gluttony is impoverishing the rest of the world, and future generations.

Are you better off having a fat line credit to buy what you can’t afford, or would you feel better living comfortably within your means with no fear of the credit barons knocking on your door?

This is a value’s crisis as much a confidence and credit crisis.

Those who stand the most to lose are the most vocal backers of this heist.

The rats are scurrying off the ship, and they don’t care if you are left behind.

The faux concern for what happens to Main Street is window dressing.
It’s the smoke they blow to hide their true intentions:

To take your money to secure theirs.

It’s time we face the music.

We have borrowed trillions of dollars from our children and grandchildren to finance our selfish consumptive ways.

Now we are going to saddle them with the tab to ensure the richest retain their cushy lifestyles while the rest of the “unwashed masses” struggle to maintain a faint glimmer of the American dream.

It’s a moral disgrace to pass this on to our children.
They should disinherit us.

Who speaks for them?

Surely not Bush, Paulson, Bernanke, Pelosi, McCain, Obama and the rest of the ruling elite.

How could they look their children in the eye and say with a straight face,

“We’re doing what’s best for you.”

The inmates have taken over the asylum.

We have nothing to fear but the government itself.

Hold on to your wallet.
You’re about to get shaken you down.

It’s a full-blown freak show.

The bailout is great theatre. The actors are playing their roles to the hilt.

I have a $700 billion headache.

The “financial experts” promise to give my migraine relief with their “rescue plan.Just give them another $700 billion to replace the $700 billion they squandered. It would be gut busting funny if it weren’t so gut wrenchingly tragic,

Would you write a blank $700 billion check to the same guys who lost your original $700 billion? Only the geniuses in CONgress would do that.

The US Titanic is banging against the icebergs. Our shameful elected officials rush to the lifeboats while they tell the rest of us to sit on the deck and enjoy the music.

They have us just where they want us: in a perpetual state of fear, dread and anxiety.

WE HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR BUT THE GOVERNMENT ITSELF.

 Our greatest fear should be the loss of our liberty at the hands of our own government.

Governments love threats and emergencies. That is their opportunity to use and expand their power. The Bush II administration was asleep before 9/11 whereupon it literally came to life to the detriment of our liberty.

“We cannot leave the judgment up to elected officials. They have a record of lying and deceiving us. They lie all the time. It comes with the turf of gaining office and using and wanting power.

Only our own government possesses the motive, means, and opportunity to tyrannize us. Only our own government has already significantly curtailed our liberty.

“Those in government who wish to diminish our liberty know that we fear losing our liberty.

They play upon that fear constantly by invoking and inventing new enemies and telling us that those enemies threaten our security and liberty. In that way, they sell themselves as the protectors of liberty and security. That is how they extend their power and control over our lives.

They diminish our liberty by a ruse. Rulers are masters of deception.

“We cannot erect an organization we call government, give it power to oppress and tyrannize, and watch as it oppresses and tyrannizes, and then not expect that what we have done to others will not be done to us. Only if we tolerate others and govern ourselves by voluntary agreement can we expect tolerance from others and their non-interference in our liberty.”

Our “leaders” are using the politics of fear and panic over the financial mess they had a hand in creating to institutionalize a presidential power grab of startling magnitude.

We have binged on easy credit and relied on borrowed funds to feed our consumer addictions. Our “leaders” spent our money like crack addicts with pocketfuls of hundreds. We rode high on abundance and affluence, deluded into believing that what goes up goes up forever.

The same cast of characters who recklessly authorized $1 trillion to $3 trillion to destroy Iraq, kill a million of its people, and displace 4 million more are the same people now negotiating the Wall Street bailout.

The media are shamefully complicit. The super estate is infected with empty talking head parasites getting rich and famous disseminating government propaganda. You’d think with 24/7 coverage, they would have time for a few hours of serious conversation about what’s really going on?

There is ONLY ONE solution short of a second American Revolution (which the government is gearing up for with Martial Law):

THROW ALL THE BUMS OUT. IT’S TIME TO “CLEAN SWEEP” CONGRESS.

Every Senator and House Member who is not doing the people’s business must be swept out of office by 2010. If we don’t rise above party and partisanship, we have nobody to blame but ourselves. The shit is hitting the fan and is spraying all over our faces.

What we can do to change the game on November 4, 2008

ELIMINATE THE DEMOCRATIC AND REPUBLICAN MAJORITY RULE.

We eliminate the majority of BOTH PARTIES by replacing only 10% of each house with a “third party” independent choice.

 The game is rigged.

The only way to win is to change the game.

The old game 2-party system must go, NOW.

It won’t, it can’t happen at the presidential level.

It will ONLY happen at the Congressional level.

The people feeding from the trough of status quo will not go down without a fight.

We are in the midst of the defining, transformational, seismic shift in the grand experiment called America.

We deserve better. Our children and grandchildren deserve better. When they look back on the choices we make today, what will they say about us?

Do we love them enough to end the madness?

On November 4, let’s CLEAN SWEEP Congress.

Let’s vote out every politician who does not represent US.

Any “third party” candidate who commits to do the people’s business is better than any R or D who is bought, paid for and is selling us out.

It’s time for We the People to stand up and be heard.

Clean sweep Congress. It’s the ONLY legal way we take back our country.
